From Hanover, NH, White River Junction, VT and Norwich, VT
Take I-91 SOUTH for 10 miles (from White River Jct.) or 14 miles (from Hanover & Norwich).
Take EXIT 9 for Route 5 NORTH towards Hartland and Woodstock.
Bear Right off the exit onto Route 5 NORTH towards Hartland.
Continue 0.9 miles up a long steep hill, across a narrow bridge, and passed a Mobil station.
You will then come to a strange 5-way intersection. You may see the Sumner Mansion Inn sign to your right on the grassy knoll.
Turn Right to stay on Route 5, and immediately bear Right (within 50 feet) onto Station Road.
The driveway for the Sumner Mansion Inn is the first on your right (~100 feet), and it has an entrance sign.
If you go more than 1.2 miles from I-91 you have gone too far!
From Lebanon, NH (Days Inn and Courtyard by Marriott)
Take Route 120 SOUTH and take the entrance ramp for I-89 NORTH towards White River Junction and Burlington.
Continue 4 miles on I-89 N and take the exit for I-91 SOUTH.

From the Hanover Inn in Downtown Hanover (a good landmark - everyone knows where it is)
Head eastward on Wheelock Street so that the Hanover Inn is on your right and the Dartmouth green is on your left.
After ~100 yards, turn Left onto College Street, keeping the Dartmouth green on your left. Continue 0.3 miles.
Turn Left onto Maynard Street. You will be driving through the Dartmouth College campus. Continue 0.1 miles.
Turn Right onto Rope Ferry Road, and continue 0.3 miles by some very nice homes.
Rope Ferry Road ends at the golf course.
Turn left down the small hill onto Hilton Field Lane.
The DOC House will be on your left with the circular driveway. Park in the spots across the road.
