About Us

Laura and Erich are proud members of the generic 50% of Middlebury graduates who meet after college and get married.   While they never actually attended Middlebury College at the same time, they were both members of the swim team and met in 1999 at an alumni swimming reunion.  Without months of chlorine exposure and relentless team gossip, they wouldn't be together today.  The picture to the left is from their first date at an annual Middlebury Swim Team semi-formal.  After their brief meeting, Erich then left for a 2 year vacation in New Zealand, formally known as his "Fullbright Scholarship."  When he returned to Boston during the fall of 2001 they renewed their friendship over Erich's lasagna, and have been together ever since.  Unfortunately, the lasagna has never reappeared...

December, 2006 had been a bad month for snow, so on December 27th Erich and Laura were forced to go for a jog.  During a light dusting of snow Erich proposed.   They currently live in Wilder, VT with their small fuzzy family: Misha (a very large cat), Bear (a cat that thinks he's their first child), and Sierra (a very, very bad mare).  Laura is a Pediatric Resident at Children's Hospital at Dartmouth and Erich is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dartmouth College.
